Mrs Joanne Procter
Welcome from the Head Teacher, Mrs Procter
Welcome to Christ the King Catholic Primary School. I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school where our dedicated and committed staff work tirelessly to ensure our children receive the best education possible. Staff provide an atmosphere where children can fully develop their talents and learn new skills. As a school we offer a wide range of sporting and musical opportunities. We have an amazing school choir and the biggest school brass band in the borough!
We are a friendly, caring school with high expectations for all our pupils. Our children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom.
As a Catholic school we offer our children the opportunity to grow as young people and encourage them to develop a closer relationship with God in an atmosphere of mutual love and respect; we seek to live out the values of Jesus Christ. We promote these values by our words and deeds recognising that every child is unique and is created in the image of God. we all follow our school mission to "Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself."
At Christ the King Catholic Primary School, we work hard to foster strong relationships with parents and carers. We send home a weekly newsletter so parents are always well-informed about what is happening within our school community. We do believe that the primary school experience is a partnership between school and home - and our door is always open!
Today we had a fabulous Sports Day. The children in both kids stages had lots of fun competing in all events. In KS2, our children participated competitively whilst trying to achieve our 6 school games values; passion, teamwork, honesty, self-belief, respect and determination. We will hold a special assembly on Monday to reward the winning team overall but also to identify the children who have stood out to their teacher by demonstrating a school games value. We must thank the PFA for providing ice pops. Unfortunately they weren't frozen in time so we are looking forward to having them on Friday. Thank you also to all parent, family and friends who attending and showed your support, it meant the world to the children.
